Amazon MCF Fee Calculator

Estimate Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment costs for Shopify, WooCommerce, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and other off-Amazon orders. Planning model, not a live quote.

US/Canada MCF surcharge: 3.5% fuel and logistics-related surcharge from May 2, 2026. This is separate from FBA's April 17, 2026 surcharge timing. For other marketplaces, fuel and logistics surcharge timing may differ — verify the current MCF rate card for your region.

Assumptions & limitations

This is a planning estimate, not a live Amazon MCF quote. Verify current MCF rate cards and SKU-level costs before making fulfillment decisions. MCF fees vary by size tier, shipping speed, and accessorial flags; this calculator uses a planning-grade approximation. The 3.5% fuel and logistics-related surcharge is applied to US and Canada MCF (from May 2, 2026) and disabled for other marketplaces — always confirm the live rate in Seller Central and the MCF pricing page before pricing off-Amazon orders.

What is Amazon MCF?

Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) lets sellers use FBA inventory to fulfill orders from off-Amazon channels — Shopify, WooCommerce, Walmart, TikTok Shop, eBay, and others. Amazon picks, packs, and ships from the same FBA warehouses used for Amazon.com orders, charging a separate MCF rate card. Inventory is shared; billing is not.

How MCF fees are estimated

This calculator models MCF cost as the sum of:

  • Base MCF fulfillment fee by size tier and shipping speed.
  • Fuel & logistics surcharge of 3.5% of the MCF fulfillment fee for US and Canada MCF (from May 2, 2026). For UK, Germany, and Japan the calculator disables the surcharge — verify marketplace-specific timing and rate in the MCF pricing page.
  • Lithium battery surcharge when the order contains a lithium battery.
  • Block Amazon Logistics surcharge when the seller opts out of AMZL routing.
  • Remote area surcharge when the destination is non-contiguous US (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US territories).

All amounts are per order. Divide by units per order for per-unit fulfillment cost.

MCF vs FBA vs FBM vs 3PL

  • FBA: Amazon.com fulfillment. No off-Amazon order support.
  • MCF: Same FBA network, but applied to off-Amazon orders. Higher per-order cost than FBA in many cases.
  • FBM: Self-fulfilled by the seller. Lowest fixed cost but you handle pick, pack, ship, and customer service.
  • 3PL: Outsourced fulfillment. May be cheaper than MCF for steady volume but adds an integration and contract layer.

MCF tends to win when you need Amazon-grade delivery speed and already have FBA inventory, and you are willing to pay a premium for the convenience. MCF tends to lose when order volume is high, products are heavy, or destinations cluster in remote areas.

When MCF makes sense for Shopify or WooCommerce orders

  • You already run FBA and want one inventory pool across channels.
  • You sell lightweight, small-ticket items where the per-order premium is acceptable.
  • Your customers expect Amazon-equivalent delivery speed (and you're willing to pay for it).
  • You run a small catalog and don't want to set up a separate 3PL contract.

MCF is usually the wrong choice when order volume is high (3PL amortizes better), units are heavy (MCF heavy-tier fees are steep), or most orders ship to remote areas.

Why off-Amazon fulfillment costs can change margin

Off-Amazon orders do not see Amazon.com referral fees, but they still pay MCF fulfillment, surcharges, and any platform-side fee (Shopify Payments, Walmart Marketplace, etc.). The combined cost can easily exceed Amazon's blended fee stack for the same SKU. Always run the math on margin per order, not just MCF cost per order, before promoting MCF as the off-Amazon fulfillment path.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Base MCF rates are planning-grade approximations. The live rate card varies by region, size tier, and shipping speed; verify before pricing.
  • The 3.5% fuel and logistics-related surcharge is applied to US and Canada MCF orders (effective May 2, 2026). UK, Germany, and Japan surcharges are disabled in the math by default — verify marketplace-specific timing and rate in the MCF pricing page.
  • Accessorial fees (lithium battery, Block Amazon Logistics, remote area) are modeled at typical values; actual amounts vary.
  • No live call to Seller Central, MCF pricing API, or any third-party source.
  • All math runs in your browser. No data leaves your device.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Amazon MCF?

Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) lets sellers use FBA inventory to fulfill orders from off-Amazon channels — Shopify, WooCommerce, Walmart, TikTok Shop, eBay, and others. Amazon picks, packs, and ships from the same FBA warehouses used for Amazon.com orders, charging a separate MCF rate card.

Is this a live MCF quote?

No. This calculator returns a planning estimate, not a live Amazon MCF quote. The MCF rate card, surcharges, and per-order accessorials are subject to change and may differ by SKU. Always verify the live MCF rate for your size tier and shipping speed in Seller Central or the MCF pricing page before making fulfillment decisions.

Does MCF have a 2026 fuel surcharge?

Yes. For US and Canada MCF orders, a 3.5% fuel and logistics-related surcharge starts May 2, 2026. This is separate from FBA's April 17, 2026 surcharge timing on Amazon.com fulfillment fees. For other marketplaces, surcharge timing and rate may differ. Confirm the current schedule in Seller Central and the MCF pricing page before pricing off-Amazon orders.

How is MCF different from FBA?

FBA is the Amazon.com fulfillment program. MCF is the same warehouses and pick-and-pack network applied to non-Amazon orders. MCF has its own rate card, separate accessorial fees (lithium battery, Block Amazon Logistics, remote area), and a separate surcharge schedule. Inventory is shared; billing is not.

Can I use MCF for Shopify orders?

Yes. Amazon MCF integrates with Shopify, WooCommerce, Walmart, TikTok Shop, eBay, and many other platforms via direct integration or third-party middleware. Pricing per order depends on size tier, weight, shipping speed, and the surcharges listed above. Use this calculator to estimate the cost before deciding between MCF, FBM, Shopify Shipping, or a 3PL.
